Donations made through Your Place in the Team will go to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, supporting the construction of the Sir Bobby Robson Institute – a new world-leading cancer trials research centre.
A minimum donation of £50 is required to take part in Your Place in the Team and be eligible for recognition on our digital wall and in the Sir Bobby Robson Institute.
As part of your donation, you can choose to leave a name or short message on the digital wall for yourself, your business, or in memory of a loved one.
Recognition
- You can choose to be recognised by name, on behalf of a business or organisation, or by using the name of a loved one in memory. You may also choose to remain anonymous on the digital wall.
- Recognition will include the name and, where provided, the message submitted by the donor for display on the digital wall on the Newcastle Hospitals Charity website.
- Recognition in the Institute – tbc.
- Newcastle Hospitals Charity reserves the right to amend the format, design, location, or method of displaying recognition where reasonably necessary.
Digital wall message guidelines
By submitting a message to the Your Place in the Team digital wall, you agree to the following:
- Length: Messages must be no longer than 150 characters, including spaces. If your name is more than 36 letters long, three dots will appear to indicate that the full name can be seen when you click into the hexagon.
- Content: Messages must not contain offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate content that could bring Newcastle Hospitals Charity or the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation into disrepute.
- Moderation: All names and messages are reviewed before publication. Newcastle Hospitals Charity reserves the right, at its sole discretion, not to display, to edit, or to remove any name or message at any time, without obligation to provide a reason.
- Ownership and permission: By submitting a name or message, you confirm that you have the right to share the content, and where you name another person, business or organisation, you have the necessary permission to do so.
- Publication: Newcastle Hospitals Charity will aim to publish new eligible names and messages on the digital wall each working day but can’t guarantee a specific date.
Personal data and consent
- Newcastle Hospitals Charity will use the information you provide when donating to administer the donation and, where applicable, your recognition through Your Place in the Team.
- Where you choose to provide a name and/or message for the digital wall, you understand that this information will be published publicly on the Newcastle Hospitals Charity website.
- The personal information you provide may also be used to send you communications about Newcastle Hospitals Charity and the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, where you have given consent to receive them.
- All personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and the privacy policy of Newcastle Hospitals Charity.
