The Details
• Date and time: Thursday, 31st December 2026, 7:30 pm.
• Location: The race hub, start line, and finish line are all located at the Newcastle Civic Centre (NE1 8QH).
• The Route: A flat and fast, closed-road route that weaves through the city centre illuminated by festive lights.
• Who Can Run: It is open to all abilities, with a minimum age of 11 years old on race day.
• What’s Included: Entry includes a special edition medal, a finisher’s goody bag, a limited-edition event buff, and a celebratory drink (mulled wine for 18+ or a non-alcoholic option).
• Amenities: Electronic chip timing (with results sent via text), secure baggage storage, toilets, and refreshments at the event hub.
• Atmosphere: Fancy dress is highly encouraged, and the race is timed so participants can enjoy the early Quayside fireworks at 6:00 pm before heading to the start line.
