Secure your place for the Junior & Mini Great North Run 2027 by applying for one of our charity places today.

The Junior and Mini Great North Run takes place on closed roads around the Newcastle – Gateshead Quayside, making it a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Mini runners (ages 3-8 years old) take on a 1.2km dash. Junior runners (ages 9-16 years old) will tackle a 4km challenge. It’s your chance to take on the course, soak up the famous Great North atmosphere, and discover your superpower.

As part of our Team, you’ll receive:

• A well-deserved hero’s welcome from our Team. We’ll be on the Quayside on the day to cheer you on.

Each charity place has a Registration Fee of £30 and a minimum fundraising commitment of £150 (excluding Gift Aid and your Registration Fee).

Mini runners (age 3-8) must be accompanied by an adult around the course. Junior runners (age 9-16) have the option of running by themselves, or with an adult. Accompanying adults who are running are required to wear the specific accompanying adult bib, which is attached to the child’s run number.
