Projects seeking support for innovation and clinical research projects will:
- Show a clear and demonstrable benefit to NHS patients by translating ideas to improvements in clinical care and practice rather than be scientific or bench based.
- Be proof of concept or ‘pump-priming’.
- Demonstrate that there are no other sources of funding available from specific research-funding bodies/charities.
- Ensure that if any revenue and equity is generated from research or projects, a fair proportion is negotiated for the charity in good faith when intellectual property is to be licensed or assigned by the Trust.
