We understand the huge impact of supporting staff to implement the ideas they have which come from their unique insight into how to make the ‘here and now’ everyday meaningful changes which can make a big difference for patients and staff alike.
This route of funding can support ideas as varied as:
- sports and activity days for children with a cancer diagnosis,
- virtual reality headsets as a distraction for those awake during surgery,
- staff wellbeing rooms,
- a tea set for families to use while visiting patients, and many, many more…
At this time Newcastle Hospitals Charity can consider funding ideas and projects if we have funds which have been donated for purposes which match the project being proposed. This is due to the large value of support the charity has put into hospital wide projects for staff wellbeing and psychological support, and the annual Christmas lunch.
Please do not submit your idea or proposal without first contacting the charity’s funding and partnerships team on [email protected] or 0191 213 7235.
We will advise whether it is worth submitting a full proposal based on the funds we currently have, this may save you the effort of submitting a full proposal which the charity is not currently in a position to fund.
You have discussed your idea with the charity’s funding and partnerships team and want to submit a project. The charity have confirmed there is a suitable fund which means your idea can be considered. If you are applying for funding for any art-based enhancements to the hospital environment (of any value), please read our ‘Arts in the Hospital Environment’ webpage.
