When can you apply?
Applications seeking funding of up to £100,000 can be submitted to the charity throughout the year and will be considered on a ‘rolling’ basis – there are no deadlines.
If your idea or project will require funding of more than £100,000 please contact the funding and partnerships team on [email protected] or 0191 213 7235.
How do you apply?
Many of the staff who submit proposals for funding are involved in clinical work, and all are busy. We’ve tried to make submitting a proposal proportionate and with clear timescales for providing you with a decision. Please see the ‘What happens after you have submitted a proposal?’ page for timescales.
Proposals for funding must be submitted on the charity’s online application portal which is accessed via our website by members of Trust staff utilising their nhs.net email address.
Go to the online application portalWhat information will you need to provide?
The charity funding online form will guide you through what information you will need to provide, which is as follows:
- Summary – an overview of the proposal including when it will commence and for how long
- Impact – details of what difference you hope the proposal will make
- Eligibility – how the proposal fits with the charity’s funding themes, and why it will add to (not replace) what the Trust provides
- Evaluation – how you will try to measure whether the funded activity has made the difference you are hoping for
- Project partnership – how you can best work together with the charity
- Costs
It is also useful to include:
- The sustainability of the proposal – a description of what will happen at the end of the funded period
- Whether the proposal relates to any specific named fund available to the charity, or to any fundraising that has taken place
- Any quotes or additional information can be attached to the proposal before submission
