Over a year since receiving the first COVID-19 patients in the UK on 31 January 2020, Newcastle Hospitals staff have worked tirelessly to treat Covid-19 patients and to maintain other vital services for all patients.
Our colleagues have been outstanding and compassionate throughout, and they have truly appreciated the support that has been shown for their ongoing dedication.
A huge thank you to all of the corporate supporters, individuals and community groups who have generously donated gifts in kind to Newcastle Hospitals Charity for our colleagues in recognition of their hard work over the last year.
They have included Clarins for donating 400 care kits for staff, ASDA and Sainsburys for delivering refreshments to keep staff hydrated, Sainburys also delivered along with care packs to our Charity office , Starbucks UK for Kettle Chips and Innocent drinks along with John Lewis who gave chocolates for staff at our vaccination hubs and ipads to be used for patients on the wards.
