Join Newcastle Hospitals Charity for the Great North Run

Join Newcastle Hospitals Heroes for the world’s biggest half marathon and generate valuable support for our Charity.

This year GNR plans to come back bigger and stronger celebrating its 40th anniversary after it was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Great Run Company have announced that the only way to sign up to the Great North Run 2021 is via a Charity place. This is due to the popularity of the rollover option for 2020 Great North Run entrants after the 2020 event was cancelled due to the Pandemic.

By running in one of our NHC GNR places you are helping to make a positive difference for the patients, staff and communities of the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which is in the home city of the GNR!

How your support makes a difference

  • Newcastle Hospitals Charity supports initiatives that help to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients, people and wider communities through compassionate and innovative healthcare, education and research
  • Your fundraising helps us to make an impact for the 13,500 staff and the 1.72million patient contacts that take place through the Newcastle Hospitals each year
  • With your help we want to ensure that every patient experiences the best possible outcome and the highest quality of care available, and that we can support ongoing developments in the services and departments across Newcastle Hospitals and in the community

How to enter

Sign up now to join Newcastle Hospitals Heroes in the Great North Run 2021 by clicking to our Eventbrite page and completing the registration form. If you are lucky enough to secure one of our limited places – which are available on a first come first services basis – we ask that you pledge to raise a minimum of £250 in sponsorship (excluding Gift Aid). Please note there is a £50 registration fee for this event.

The registration fee is payable to Newcastle Hospitals Charity.
