The Sir Bobby Robson Institute will be a three storey, purpose built cancer clinical trials facility – the first of its kind in the UK.
Located directly opposite the Northern Centre for Cancer Care at the Freeman Hospital, the Institute brings early and late phase research teams together under one roof, enabling seamless collaboration across the full spectrum of cancer treatment research.
The Institute will include:
Ground floor:
• Outpatient consultation and examination rooms
• Staff training facilities
• Laboratory space
First floor:
• Clinical trials day unit with 21 treatment chairs
• Three private bays
• Six treatment bedrooms
Second floor:
• Research support accommodation
