A key part of Newcastle Hospitals Charity, our arts programme aims to enhance the wellbeing and recovery of patients and staff across Newcastle Hospitals.
The programme supports a range of projects across all mediums, helping to engage patients and communities in the work of the hospitals and support the mental health and wellbeing of NHS staff. Watch our Arts Programme video below to find out more about the creative projects we have delivered.

Our National Health Stories
‘Our National Health Stories’ is an exciting UK-wide arts initiative celebrating 75 years of the NHS. The project aims to paint a portrait of the NHS through the eyes of its people. The organisation’s essential and powerful impact through the eyes of those that make it! Those who know!
To open a window into the NHS through often unheard perspectives and experiences and to celebrate the often unseen.
We were delighted to have staff from Newcastle Hospitals submit and record their stories, and represented in the live finale in Manchester in November. You can view our staff stories in the video below, or visit the Our National Health Stories website to watch the live finale.
