These three short courses are on offer for all Trust staff, no matter if you’re trying something out for the first time OR if you feel a bit more confident. Sessions run weekly over four weeks and are a chance to get together, find out more and have a go yourself.

Calling all poets! Come and unleash your lyrical voice!
Whether it’s your first time putting poetic pen to the page, or if you’ve been writing for a while, this course will help to (re)ignite your poetic flame with thoughts and techniques to hone your voice and to create and shape your work.

Are you a story-lover? Do you want to write, but never seem to get started?
Whether it’s your first time putting creative-pen to the page, or if you’ve been writing for a while, this bitesize course might be the inspiration you need!
Through 4, weekly creative-writing sessions, we will share some great examples of the form to inspire our ideas, experimenting with skills and techniques, starting points and possible endings. We’ll be asking ourselves ‘what makes a really great short story?’ and using our findings to create our own.

Inspired by Dr Who? Loved Game of Thrones? Fancy yourself as a new Terry Pratchett?
Why not come and try your hand at writing your own fantasy or science fiction?
Whether it’s your first time putting creative pen to the page or if you’ve been writing for a while, this bitesize course is a chance to explore where your imagination might take you, journeying into worlds unknown with only our pen as our guide.
Through 4, weekly creative writing sessions through reading, writing and sharing, we will explore ways to ignite and harness this magical form.
