Monetary donations are the best gift you can give to Newcastle Hospitals Charity – they help us to support a range of items and services for patients, families and staff that aren’t routinely funded by the government.
Your generous donations make a big difference to the treatment and care we offer our patients. Whether it’s funding cutting edge equipment in our critical care wards, making children smile in our inpatient play rooms, or supporting people to remain independent at home. Our staff can access training to support their development, and grants for vital research thanks to your generosity.
However if you do decide to donate presents for any of the wards/services within our hospitals including The Great North Children’s Hospital, please contact our team.
Give a gift
We’re always grateful for the generosity of anyone who wishes to donate gifts to our hospitals. The easiest way to do this is to use our Amazon Wishlist.
While we don’t insist that you use the Wishlist, it has been created with input from the wards and represents what they need most.

- Over the festive period we will plan specific drop off days which can be shared with you on request. This not only helps us to make sure get the gifts to the correct wards but also helps with storage. We can arrange for dates and times outside of our usual drop off days but these are limited.
- Please do not wrap the gifts – this allows us to match your gift to the most appropriate patient.
- We accept gifts throughout the year and these are then gifted to patients for a birthday or other special occasion including Easter.
- Unfortunately we are unable to pay for the cost of collecting your gifts or delivering them to the hospital.
- We cannot accept donations of chocolate and sweets or edible gifts of any kind to the hospital.
