Give a gift
Monetary donations are the best gift you can give to Newcastle Hospitals Charity. Monetary Donations enable the Trust to provide a range of items and services for patients and staff that aren’t routinely funded by the government.
Your generous donations make a big difference to the treatment and care we offer our patients. Whether it’s funding cutting edge equipment in our critical care wards, making children smile in our inpatient play rooms, or supporting people to remain independent at home. Our staff can access training to support their development, and grants for vital research thanks to your generosity.
However if you do decide to donate presents to any of the wards/services within our Hospitals including The Great North Children’s Hospital, please contact our Charity team by emailing: [email protected]
We have an Amazon Wishlist which we can provide on request. We ask that all gift donations are made by arrangement. While we don’t insist that you use the Wishlist, it has been drawn up with input from the wards and represents what they would like.
In the lead up to Christmas, we are planning specific drop off days which we will share with you on request. We can arrange for dates and times outside of these, but those are limited due to staffing and storage.
If you choose not to use the wish list, we still ask that you contact us to arrange a suitable drop off date and time. This will support our hospital colleagues at this busy time of year.
What we can’t accept
- used toys
- knitted clothes
- over-sized soft toys
- large mechanical or motorised toys
- used clothing or shoes
- second-hand books
- used magazines
Items that cannot be used by our patients may be used for fundraising or passed to a partner community project in Newcastle.
Tips
- Please do not wrap the gifts. This will enable us to match your gift to an appropriate patient.
- Unfortunately we are unable to pay for the cost of collecting your gifts or delivering them to the hospital
