Why fundraise for Newcastle Hospitals Charity?
Newcastle Hospitals Charity is the official charity for Newcastle Hospitals and we’re the home of the Great North Children’s Hospital and The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
With the help of supporters like you, we have achieved remarkable milestones, such as providing advanced medical equipment, supporting groundbreaking research, and enhancing patient care and experiences. Your contributions make a significant difference, helping us to continue our mission of improving healthcare for our community. Going further for Newcastle Hospitals.
How your fundraising helps
Everything we do as a charity aims to make a difference for patients, staff and visitors.
During 2024, we funded hundreds of incredible ideas across the hospitals.
Here are just a few highlights:
- Purchase of a spinal surgical robotic system, reducing the time patients need to stay in hospital.
- Funding overnight accommodation at Crawford House which benefits 500 families each year.
- Creation of a staff wellbeing room which benefits 120 staff caring for adults involved in major trauma medical emergencies.
- Providing funding for a Dentaid Bus to offer dental care in the community to beneficiaries of a West End foodbank.
