Celebrate 75 years of the NHS with a powerful and moving performance
Celebrate and honour the voices of the NHS on its 75th anniversary with a very special, one-off performance directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah at Aviva Studios in Manchester.
This is a celebration of NHS staff – told in their own words. Watch as their stories are brought to life through music, poetry, film and dance, with NHS staff performing alongside actors, performers and a live band.
This is the finale of a six-month programme of creative activity undertaken by thousands of staff in hospitals across England. The performance has been developed as part of an unprecedented national collaboration between 19 hospital trusts, including Newcastle Hospitals, and follows a day of performances in those hospitals, some of which can be experienced live as well as online.
The stellar creative team is led by Kwei-Armah, with Associate Director Jennifer Tang, award-winning writer and playwright Chris Bush, and original music by composer Ruth Chan.
Tickets for the show are free and available now from the Factory International website. The event will also be streamed live through the Our National Health Stories website.
