We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Head of Fundraising and Associate Director to Join the Newcastle Hospitals Charity team!
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about healthcare and building long-term mutually valuable partnerships. You will lead the creation and implementation of our annual fundraising & partnerships strategy, as well as contribute to the overall strategic direction of the charity. You’ll be responsible for forming productive and positive relationships with organisations that include start-ups, large corporations, foundations, and charities, growing productive and positive relationships with them, evolving new products to align with sector changes and showcasing our growth and impact on the ground. This role is ideal for someone who is excited to both develop and drive forward our strategy while also being hands-on in working with our partners and on projects.

Qualifications & Education
Essential
- Educated to Postgraduate/Master’s level or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Significant experience of working in a fundraising or relationship management environment, including experience of working in the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector
- Significant experience of planning, directing and delivering fundraising programmes / campaigns / projects on time
- Wide range of knowledge and experience of managing budgets for complex programmes of work, including financial processes, budget setting and monitoring
- Specialist knowledge in relation to charity regulation, governance and professional fundraising standards and significant experience of interpreting national / regulatory guidance for implementation and in the provision of policy / regulatory advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders on a range of complex, specialist topics
- Significant leadership experience and of managing a team to deliver outcomes.
- Significant experience working within a complex environment including experience of working in the voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) sector.
- Ability to empathise and work closely with Trust staff across a diverse discipline portfolio.
- Experience in project development, proposal preparation and project management
